This news release is an item that has caused us some concern. If you are a user of Biohit electronic pipettes or another make of electronic pipette then this may affect you.
Biohit is the world leader in electronic pipetting and these tools, like their counterparts from competing manufacturers, are specialised tools that require both training and the requisite tools and spares to service correctly. It has recently been brought to our attention that some third party companies have written off a number of these units through lack of knowledge and substituted these pipettes for other brands.
A number of the units however have been returned to Pipette Doctor (the only authorised and trained company for Biohit products) for inspection. 90% of those units returned to us required a simple repair using the correct components and tools, or a simple battery replacement. These units have been returned to the laboratories and are now back in the working environment.
We would like to hear from you if you use Biohit electronics and will be more than happy to advise on correct service and repair.
FREE QUANTA SOFTWARE FOR PIPETTE CALIBRATION
The software provides an opportunity to both manage and calibrate pipette inventory and meets all the needs of a small to medium sized laboratory who may wish to check their pipettes on a regular basis but does not require software with in depth reporting, spares management, training modules etc.
The software can be downloaded from our website and all data can be stored on-line reducing backup concerns and loss of information.
